I am here but still sick

I have been a while I haven't get this sick with the cold... I need to take it easy because this is my big weekend!!! CWOS (City Wide Open Studio) event is starting on Thursday and I haven't set up my space. I need to be there the whole weekend for long hours of work, it is going to be fun and I HAVE to feel better.
I'll keep you posted and turn on my broadcast even for less entertaining tasks but at least you can pick on an artist's day to day (not all is fun)

Portfolio try out

I got an email offer from Shutterfly offering me a free 20 pages 8"x8" photo album, how nice! I really like their service and can't complain about the colors and printing quality so I hope this album will be good enough for presentations. I can't wait!!!

Can I ask myself for a sick day?

Hmmm good question, I don't feel good but I haven't stop working, well instead putting my hands on clay I rather research on the internet and learn more about art business. You know what it is not easy, I had said before being and artist is not just creating art, without marketing you are nothing, you need to be seen, adored, talked about... otherwise you might never have any rewards it is your option, if you don't want to market "maybe" after you die somebody will do it for you and get all the money you deserved and even more.

This weekend

I don't want to repeat myself too much so I won't post pictures of my actual painting until I finish; I had little issues with my goddess today maybe mine weekend in New York will help me to clear out my mind.
I can't wait to see my friend Polina and see all the places and people related to Keith.

WIP (work in progress)

I'm not afraid of showing this

Being self-confident with your work is not very common between artists, some even hesitate showing works in progress, I kind of understand them but fortunately is not my case. For bad or for good I love showing what is going on, this is what I started yesterday evening.
I'll work on this painting during the morning with live video, but only in the morning.

I'm warming up for my next job so I decided to create few tile business cards, they are just samples and what you see right now are rough pieces.

I'm back to work- this week schedule

Well I have been working off line, nothing fun and way more tiring than I expected... this week I'll on my live video again. Tuesday and Wednesday 12:30 to 4:00 PM , Thursday and Friday maybe in the morning.

Administrative week

It is important to be organized, being your own boss you have to be responsible and efficient even when you don't like or want to. Here I am being my own secretary, maid, assistant and sales rep. I hope I can work with you this week... I hope so...
I visited some local galleries some impressed me some didn't even gave me an impression.

A quite day

Sometimes a quite day is what you need... I had so much stress yesterday that today working on easy little projects were my therapy, it feels good to accomplish something no matter how small and simple is. I made a dozen on my handmade business card in terracotta. I love them!!!

Original clay Business Cards

I don't think you would ever throw this away if I give this pretty cool business card; yes I might be a little uncomfortable to have it in your pocket but who keeps so many cards in their wallet anyway? and if you do, how often do you check them? so I thought, I better make something that advertise my art, has my logo, web address, contact number and it is even decorative or functional?
This is a original way to promote and let me tell you... I can do this for your business too.

Long Weekend

As usual I forgot about the Labor Day Weekend. When you love what you do it is hard to remember all those days when you suppose to rest :)
Well I went for another wedding dress shopping, oh dear I can wait until I say "I Do"
